Metafisica da Giardino – Nahmad Projects

The Nahmad Projects in Mayfair London gallery walls have been radically transformed to recall the iconic painting of De Chirico, Piazza d’Italia. The walls have been entirely painted after a thorough study of the perspective and of the spaces in order to guest the paintings for the temporary show curated by Francesco Vezzoli. Vezzoli brought together works by himself and a selection of paintings by Giorgio de Chirico, ranging from the 1920s to the 1970s. The goal is to create an historical dialogue, where the Italian twentieth century re-emerges as part of the present – as seen through Vezzoli’s eyes.
